The Collaborative Changemaking Field Guide for Professional Development-924.jpg

LOOK INSIDE!

Certificate requirements on pages 9 thru 11

The field guide you'll use works for both in-person and virtual experiences. The content in this was modified and repurposed from Greg Van Kirks new book, IT’S WHAT YOU SET IN MOTION: A TOOLBOX FOR COLLABORATIVE CHANGEMAKING.

"Greg and I have been collaborating in one way or another since we first met and worked together in a small community in El Salvador nearly 20 years ago. I’ve always been struck by his remarkable ability to get to the heart of problems and co-create empathetic, approachable solutions in complex and constrained environments. This innovative and practical toolbox is a clear reflection of this. Without a doubt, this book should be on every aspiring and practicing changemaker’s bookshelf."

FAQs2

Is this a program?

No. You earn your certificate using the contents of the field guide while you're working within your organization and/or volunteering with a local organization of your own choice.

How do people use the tools in the field guide within their organizations?

Professionals/ teams can take advantage of the collaborative changemaking (conversation) tools in all kinds of different contexts. Use these during team meetings, lunch and learns, offsites, onboarding, for ESG, for mentoring, for facilitation, during conferences, to diagnose problems, to prioritize work, for designing new solutions, etc. etc.

Do I work with others earning their certificates?

That's entirely up to you. You might want to do this with teammates within your organization. For example, a nonprofit in Ecuador is having their whole team use this to both onboard new team members and upskill current ones.

Is this graded?

No. We just want to make sure that you’ve put thoughtful effort into the work. The goal is much more the “process” than the “product.”

What’s the value of the LinkedIn certificate?

It should help you highlight and clearly articulate your experience and your collaborative changemaking mindsets and skill sets. It should help you distinguish yourself.
